Thanksgiving is over, and Christmas time is here! This is my absolute favorite time of year — the air is chilly (woo cozy sweaters!), decorations are up, and the humans of the world finally have something in common. Everything just feels festive, and it’s the one time of year that I get to see my entire extended family in one place and gorge on Filipino food (kare-kare and lumpia ftw!).
Ever since I was little, right after Thanksgiving, my tradition has been to tune into KOST 103.5 FM, a local L.A. radio station. Lately though, they’ve playing it WAY too early. This year, they started playing their holiday music on November 10 — NOVEMBER TEN. Playing it earlier and earlier makes it less special. JUST SAYING.
Back to my point, the only downside to radio is the commercials and the fact that you might not get to hear your favorite song. Or, maybe you’ve heard the same song way too many times in a week (I’m looking at you, Mariah Carey). To remedy that, we’ve created two Christmas playlists for your listening pleasure.
Our Christmas Classics playlists has just that — all the Christmas classics you grew up with. It has about 5 hours of music, featuring crooners like Frank Sinatra and Bing Crosby, groups such as the Carpenters and the Jackson 5, and current classics from Christina Aguilera and, obviously, Mariah Carey.
Our second playlist, Christmas Instrumentals, is about 6 hours long and has lyric-free songs that are perfect for a relaxing, low-key evening by the fire or for background music to a classy holiday dinner party.
Whatever you use it for, they’re sure to put you in the holiday spirit. We hope that you enjoy these as much as we do!
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays,
